Run in Denim. Stand with Survivors.
April 2026
More than 90% of rapes go unreported. Whether you are a survivor or sympathizer, the time has come to go from unspoken to outspoken.
The Denim 5K is more than just an event—it’s a movement and an opportunity to stand up to sexual assault once and for all. Launching in five major U.S. cities in 2026, be part of an inspiring and inclusive event to take the shame and stigma out of rape and forge a united community of powerful, resilient and inspirational people
What is Denim Day?
Denim Day, observed annually on the last Wednesday in April during Sexual Assault Awareness/ Prevention Month, stands as a powerful symbol of solidarity and awareness. The campaign began after a troubling ruling by the Italian Supreme Court, which overturned a rape conviction based on the victim’s tight jeans. The decision implied consent, sparking outrage. In response, the women of the Italian Parliament wore jeans to work the next day in support of the victim. Since then, Denim Day has become a global campaign to break the stigma surrounding sexual violence and support survivors.
